selbbub78 0 #1 July 21, 2006 Does anyone know a semi-easy way to rig one temporarily????? We need a way to get it to read a shorter distance in order to win a bet. Basically this lady i works with bet our boss's boss that this one bar was within 1 mile, and it's 1.4, so we're trying to figure out a way to rig a company car to show it's within the 1 mile status. Anyone have any clues on how to do this? there's it's changed for you Phree....happy? AggieDave 6 #7 July 21, 2006 Get a distance wheel thing for measuring distances while walking with the wheel. Then go for a walk. http://www.contractor-books.com/CB/MM_Wheels/MM_Wheels.htm You can most likely rent one for a couple of hours at a construction equipment company.--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline." catfishhunter 2 #13 July 21, 2006 Put the car on a flat bed tow truck drive to the .4 mark then unload drive to the bar. Drive back load up then unload at work. Will read 2 miles round trip. That what you looking for? More work but will keep you out of jail from messin with the odometer MAKE EVERY DAY COUNT Life is Short and we never know how long we are going to have. Not sure if you can fit them under the fenders but that is your problem :p

Misternatural 0 #21 July 22, 2006 Since no one knows my real name here I'll explain what i did to rental vehicle once: 1) disconnect the spedo cable from the tranny. 2) take a reversable drill and attach it to the thingy that sticks out of the cable 3)spin those miles back like you never went there. Careful, now they put a tamper tag on the ganectegazoink so don't fuck with it unless you like jail.Beware of the collateralizing and monetization of your desires. MF42 0 #22 July 22, 2006 Not only are tamper tags a problem, but the cable itself might not be there. It's all sensors and wires and computers and other voodoo like that. Matt
Misternatural 0 #23 July 22, 2006 fuckin voodoo shit!! i know, like what ever happened to the old style cars that you could get at everything in the engine compartment?? BRYANGOESBOOM 0 #24 July 22, 2006 You can put a switch between the transmission and the speedometer. While in the on position everything works in the off position you cant read your speed and odometer does nothing. Not only will you look better, feel better, and fuck better; you'll have significantly increased your life expectancy. --Douva
