Villains aren't limited by any kind of morals or code of ethics or any other crap like that. It's just smash and grab, baby. I say that while the hero is off questing for a mentor and growth and a personal transformation/realization and all that Cambellian crap, the villain and sidekick just throwdown, get it settled right away.
