Scoop 0 #1 July 22, 2006 I know its not a fellow jumper, even I wasn't very close to him but its kinda hit me hard. This sucks, I see a guy who was my best mate at school this evening, we kinda drifted apart as we got different lifestyles but today he tells me his brother drowned swimiing in a reservoir trying to cool off in the heatwave we're experiencing right now. He was a great kid, only 17 and ready to start his adult life. How cruel can you get. Not like he was a shitbag, he was an air cadet I believe with good education. ACMESkydiver 0 #2 July 22, 2006 Sorry to hear it...and I have no great words of comfort that will help. I can still wish him Blue Skies even if he wasn't jumping them. Peace.~Jaye Do not believe that possibly you can escape the reward of your action.
ImGunnaJump 0 #3 July 22, 2006 Sorry to hear this...it's never easy to understand or accept such news. When kids die (he was a kid, still, in my book), it's always a stunning loss. Prayers to you and your friend."...I've learned that while the "needs" in life are important (food, water, shelter), it's the "wants" in life (ice cream, chocolate, sex) that make it worth the effort." Scoop 0 #4 July 22, 2006 Im sure he would with a bit of encouragement. He was a keen and skilled skateboarder and pretty fearless. To die like this is such a waste. The worst part was talking to my mate, I kept repeating myself saying, "what, drowned? How?" Hoping he'd follow with something like "..and they pulled him out and now hes up the hospital" but he didn't and I made the poor fucker repeat himself about 6 times. I've never seen him cry before

Scoop 0 #7 July 22, 2006 It does, just proves to me you need to get as much as you can out of life because you never know when it'll cruely be taken away.
