GARYC24 3 #28 July 28, 2006 How was it? That's one of my favorite places (Ventura Theatre, right?) I am going to Robin Trower this Sunday includes the front row table on the floor & dinner and free for me!!! On another note, The Canyon Club (Calabassas) Cyndi Lauper in Sept. (I may just get two tickets for dinner seats, that is a must go for me!)
jumpjunkie2004 0 #29 July 28, 2006 I started this thread because I just went to see Poison and Cinderella at Nissan on Wednesday. Since I got married, I've been converted to a Kennedy Center girl - think classical music and low key performers. So, I was just fascinated by the people, and the entire visual aspect of this kind of concert. I was like a little girl ADD - there were so many things to look at! It was a blast. AND....we did tailgate partying in the parking lot before the concert. That NEVER happens at the Kennedy Center! Fun...fun...fun!Jump, Land, Pack, Repeat... VanillaSkyGirl 6 #30 July 28, 2006 It was really fun. I loved the location (first time there), but it was a quick show. It really seemed to end much too fast, although they had a standing ovation. Speaking of free shows, my friend and I were on the guest list. Love that! The only bad part was after the show. After most of the crowd had left, an obviously disabled man slipped and fell HARD onto the floor as he was leaving. People seemed stunned at first. He was just lying there, so others began to rush over. I also instinctively went to try to help. There was a rather large pool of blood that began to form where his head was. Nobody was moving him at that point, until he could get proper medical assistance. It was so sad.
