Have you seen "Casablanca"?

That's all.

And if you've seen it, did you like it? :)

Good flick; got me started on a Bogart binge. Not the least of Bogart's work (_Dark Passage_ was a little weak but still good) but not the best.

So far we've also watched _Key Largo_, _The Big Sleep_, _The Maltese Falcon_, and _The African Queen.

The first Bogart+Bacall matchup (_To Have and to Have Not_) is near the top of my Netflix queue, and there's another Bogart film or two in there.

One of my all time favorites. A trivia note...Bogart was the only American in the cast. Most of the actors had fled Europe only a few years, months, weeks, before.

Possibly one of the best movies of all time. Usually places #1 or #2 on almost every film critics list of best movies of all time.

I actually think it's a better movie than the other contender "Citizen Kane".

The thing about Casablanca is that every single character in it and every single line is motivated and nearly perfect in every way.

I've watched it maybe 100 or so times over the years and it still amazes me . . . not in the technology of the movie, but in the perfection of its story.

So much said . . . so much unsaid . . . really amazing.

Nothing to add...

A really good movie - I think one of the reasons so many people like it is because it is well done in many aspects. The script is good. The acting is really good (by today's poor standards). The camera work is almost perfect. The sound is very good (for the time). So if you're someone who likes a good script, or good actors, or great visuals, or good sound, then you'll like the movie.

Also, be sure to check out Treasure of the Sierra Madre.

seen the movie AND been to the city. The movie is much better BTW. I thought Casa sucked as a place to spend time in. Marakesh was much cooler, although the Casbah in Casa was pretty cool. The mosque was overrated, very much a tourist trap. The Sahara desert ROCKED ;)

To Have and Have Not. Another Bogie classic.

Pile on as many silicone tits and collagen lips as you want. You will NOT find a current star sexier than Bacall in her prime.

In answer to the original question: YES, Kelly. You are the ONLY pathetic cavedweller who has not seen this masterpiece. Even my tragically cinematically sheltered wife watched it the week before last.
(Brilliant as she is, unfortunately, she's also historically impaired. I had to explain why the Le Marsellaise scene was so important.)

Rent it immediately, and watch it without interruption before that dick Clooney does a remake.
