SpeedRacer 1 #26 August 4, 2006 FUCK! too bad I don't have cable TV. Humphrey Bogart ROX! What is interesting about him is that he totally dominates a scene, but physically, he isn't ANYTHING like any other usual Leading Man Actor. He's only about 5' 7", not muscular or handsome, but nobody ever stops to notice that. The way he handles himself just makes him dominate every scene he's in. With Bogart, it's ALL about ATTITUDE! He's great in just about everything I've seen him in. Speed Racer --------------------------------------------------
ntrprnr 0 #27 August 4, 2006 QuoteThat's all. And if you've seen it, did you like it? One of my top 5. Right up there with Le Grand Blue, and Midnight Run._______________ "Why'd you track away at 7,000 feet?" "Even in freefall, I have commitment issues." Bolas 5 #29 August 4, 2006 Nope. Did finally see Citizen Kane a few months back. Not a big fan of B/W movies. Unless it's The 3 Stooges. Stupidity if left untreated is self-correcting If ya can't be good, look good, if that fails, make 'em laugh.

Rebecca 0 #31 August 4, 2006 Presence. Sheer magnetic presence that comes from knowing every man in the room would trade places with you, and every woman in the room would trade numbers with you. you've got to ask yourself one question: 'Do I feel loquacious?' -- well do you, punk? gmittar 0 #34 August 4, 2006 I didn't really like Casablanca. Maybe I was too young to really get it when I saw it. |>.<| Seriously, W.T.F. mate?

Shotgun 1 #36 August 4, 2006 I saw it a long time ago at the Paramount Theatre in Austin (a really cool old theatre), in a double feature with Woody Allen's Play it Again, Sam. It was pretty good, but I preferred Woody Allen's movie. (Yes, I am simple-minded.) Actually, I'd like to see it again. I might appreciate it more now. They showed Casablanca and North by Northwest (two of my favorites) during the first week of the series this year, but I was pretty busy then, and I missed them. On September 1 and 2 they're showing Lawrence of Arabia in 70mm. I may have to try to make that.I don't have an M.D. or a law degree. I have bachelor's in kicking ass and taking names. Lindercles 0 #38 August 4, 2006 I saw Spartacus in 70mm there. Definitely worth it. The Paramount is one of the least appreciated gems of Austin.
Shotgun 1 #39 August 4, 2006 QuotePart of the Summer Classic Film Series, right? Yes. With the funny old cartoons during intermission. It's so cool seeing movies (or anything else!) in that theatre. Here's a link for anyone who has never been there. The virtual tours on the site don't seem to be working though :-(
skyberdyber 0 #40 August 4, 2006 Great movie. Bet on 22. Also, anything with Cary Grant. He is the most suave human that ever lived. I want to be re-incarnated as T.R. Devlin (Cary Grant) in "Notorious". Jen & I actually talked about naming our first son Devlin after watching that movie. Or C.K. Dexter in "Philadelphia Story". They don't write characters like that into movies anymore. http://www.skydiveatlanta.com http://www.musiccityskydiving.com
Muenkel 0 #41 August 4, 2006 I never saw it either Kel. The 3 movies I've never seen that are on my must watch list are 'Casablanca', 'The Maltese Falcon' and 'Gone With the Wind'. I don't know why I've never planted my ass down and watched these flicks. I know I'm missing something, but I never get around to it.
