kenz 0 #2 August 4, 2006 absolutely - im not even a huge dylan fan but i would pay $50 to see him - he is a legend and unfortunately the baby boomers arent gettin any younger - i'd go just to at least say you saw him - who knows it might actually be a great concert too :)"life does throw curveballs sometimes but it doesn't mean we shouldn't still swing for the homerun" ~ me
SpeedRacer 1 #3 August 4, 2006 I saw Bob Dylan in the Summer of 1986. He did a concert tour with Tom Petty and the Grateful Dead. That ROCKED!! unfortunately it was also during the Great Marijuana Famine of 1986. Ronald Reagen had started Operation Glass Eye which cracked down on drugs, but mostly focused on marijuana, so the drug dealers switched to cocaine and crack cocaine as a more monetarily concentrated drug. Marijuana became very scarce, but coke & crack were everywhere. The little plant I grew in the meadow near the highway was all that got us through those dark times. stevebabin 0 #4 August 4, 2006 Yes, you should go for it. In the near future you probably wont remember what you paid, but you'll always remember seeing him. skip 0 #5 August 4, 2006 Quotewho knows it might actually be a great concert Well Though I’m no baby boomer, I grew up listening to my fathers records and I’ve also seen Dylan a few times in my young life. But um yeah I guess I’d pay $50 to see his show; however I wouldn’t expect a great concert. I think the best Dylan shown I’ve seen was in Austin, 1992, I was 15 or 16 it was the whole packaged spectacle and also my first Dylan show. The few I’ve seen since were lame/mediocre at best. But yeah if Dylan was coming through Texas I would be there for 50 bucks, why not. neilp
