Changes In Attitude . . .

Recommended Posts

. . . due to changes in lattitude.

A short account of what I saw last week and weekend.

We'll start at the end of the story - Kootenai Falls.

Dave (Livendive) drove me back to Spokane to catch my flight back home.
Along the way we stopped at Kootenai Falls -

I can tell you that after experiancing this plus the trip to Glacier Park I am changed in alot of ways. Nature has been shown to me - and I look at it in a different light now.

So - here are just a few of the many pictures that were taken.

Sign - Entrance Sign
Noticed Rock - A rock that Dave said he always notices on his way down a certain trail
Through The Trees - just a picture along the trail to the small Falls
Walk Bridge - Really interesting swinging bridge, this is only the sign though
Small Falls - An absolutely beautiful small waterfall.
I'm not usually into the whole 3-way thing, but you got me a little excited with that. - Skymama

And to finish the trip to Kootenai . . . I couldn't resist trying the water out myself . . .

Yes, it was pretty cold.:D

Jumping into Falls 1 - Me - Jumping into the Big Falls
Jumping into Falls 2 - Me - Entering the water

The Valley - It is and was enough to take your breath away - and it WAS let me tell you! But more than likely it is that I'm out of shape and it was a decent hike around the falls.

Not as cold as I was prepared for, but colder than Jack was equipped for.:D

I now have a new found appreciation for John Rich's posts about his excursions into the wilderness.

Depends on what we're judging...

The safest way to enter water in which the depth is unknown and the starting height of the jump is considerable is to cross arms over chest & jump in sitting position with toes pointed up, not down so heels immediately followed by bootie are first to hit the water.

:P

Either way, his form is less than perfect. 5.

;)
Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.

I had already been in the water and knew it was safe to jump into.

See, I had to swim over to climb up the tree to get to the exit point.:)

Last ones . . .

Cliff Edge - The Depth cannot truly be realized here, but it was probably 60 feet or so.

Turtle climbing - Climbing down into the falls

I am quite observant and must say, for the record, it is unclear in said picture where said tree begins and ends. Thus, based solely on the photo submitted it is entirely possible one end is on land.:P

It is true - the one end is on the land. The big end. I am aware that you, as a woman, are very observant indeed, but if you look more carefully - I am already soaking wet before I jump.:D
