Have you lived in a tent?

Lived in a tent...? not just for a boogie or weekend at a dz you're visiting?

I'm okay with it ...just like camping long term...*shrug*

This is something I've been seriously contemplating because of the fucked up (and I do mean that with every bit of the word) costs living in Seattle. I just need to nail down where to shower and the house I need to say is mine when there's a lady I'm trying to impress (I know ladies - please sent your complaints to the trash).

I can say I've had a stable roof over my head for all of my life. You know, one that won't blow away in the middle of the night unless a tornado came through.

We had a guy who lived in a cardboard refrig box in a field near the job site. A piece of plastic thrown over it and a sleeping bag.

One day he was late, so we walked over to wake him up.
There was a woman in there with him. :D:D

HAHAHA!!!! :D:D:D priceless...

did the tent thing for approx. 2 months....It's an experience, one I would not want to miss out on yet not really WANT to do it again...

tents are fun(ish)
campers are fun(ner)
RV's are straight
Trailers are a good time
Winnebago is the way to go (luxury-opt)
house is a good situation
mansion couldn't really be any better
private jet would trump the mansion in my book

so in essence.... aim for jumbo private jet..

One time I thought I was living in a Tee-pee. Then I thought I was living in a Wig-wam. Then I thought I WAS a tee-pee, then I thought I WAS a wig-wam.

Doctor told me I was just two tents.

Give it time. You've only been jumping for a couple years.

Something that I think is neat about the "culture" of skydiving is that instead of being the mark of a loser (think homeless), it's actually considered cool to live in a tent on a dz.

For a little while anyway. After a few months it's time to move up to being trailer trash.

Haha, so true. Towards the end, I envied those fancy trailer people so much, with their flush toilets and microwave ovens! :D. Hey, when it rained, at least I had a miniature swimming pool in my tent! They don't have that!

I wouldn't recommend living in a tent in Seattle.

It would be a great burn though to camp out on peoples lawns and then to let them know "my tent cost $200, what did your 1600 sqr foot house cost? Ohhhhh $410,000???" I might get shot if I did that though.
