My bed's got an empty spot in it if you need a place to stay...

So does mine

And the plot thickens... :)
This should be one hell of a climax!

I lived in one for 3 months at Z hills during the winter and then 3 months in Pennsylvania during the summer. It was ok until Pennsylvania had the week long period of rain and severe flooding. B|

Also thunderstorms aren't much fun either if you live in a tent. If I had to do it again, I'd make sure I had a tent that was much much more sturdy and waterproof than the wal-mart ones. :S

Lived in a tent...? not just for a boogie or weekend at a dz you're visiting?

I'm okay with it ...just like camping long term...*shrug*

I lived in one for 6 weeks. Granted, it was a youth expedition around the perimeter of the state of New Jersey back in 1984 when I was 17. Hiking on the Appalachian Trail, canoeing down the Delaware River (you don't wanna know what we saw in the water through Philly :o), biking across southern NJ, sailing up the coast to Newark, and biking back to base camp near the northernmost point of the state.

Yes.B|B|And I'm staying in a garage in the midwest right now.:S.......Plus, my primary residence in Florida is not much more than a glorified tent, with A/C.:o:ph34r:

I lived in a tent for only one month, if i was faced with that again I would buy a yurt! those things are great! It's just like a tent but fancy.

Out of curiosity I looked up yurts. Damn they are cool. I could live in something like that for awhile I think. The ones on the site I was looking at are practically nicer than my apartment.

My mom, dad, bro, and sis did when the inaugural day storm of '92 destroyed their house. :( I was away training in the army, and was strangely enough, living in a tent too...in the woods of South Carolina/Georgia. :S

None of us liked it so much. :|

Is this at a DZ? Like, where you'll have access to a hot shower and an extension cord for your hotplate and maybe even a TV in the hangar to crash out in front of once in a while? A person can get by for a long time on Ramen noodles and Tang...

(note I said Tang, not 'tang. Although a little 'tang once in a while is bound to make tent living easier)

Now that I'm in a "committed relationship" (yeesh:P) it'd never work, I'm sure we'd kill each other. But in my salad days I woulda been all over it. The only reason I probably never did it was that most of my salad days were spent living in rural Kentucky, where my one bedroom apartment was damn near as cheap as living in a tent anywhere else in the world!
