What is the BEST?What would you NEVER eat as a leftover??

Apparently potato salad is good...Pete's anyway...

I cannot and will not eat leftover Chinese...even the very next day...texture is just wrong for me.
Fried chicken, chili, spaghetti - all much better as leftovers!

Anything spicy or otherwise really flavorful seems to do really well as leftovers - the flavors deepen and get more intense and interesting.

In my mind, anything that reheats well in a microwave makes for good leftovers. While I like leftover pizza, it requires oven reheating to be really good the next day. Leftover fish ... also not so good as it's a smelly disaster in the microwave (but if it's a good piece of grilled salmon, I'll just eat it cold or put it on a bed of lettuce to make a salad out of it).

I cook for myself most of the time, so I'll often end up with extra of whatever I make, so I try to make things that make for good leftovers and/or have another use (like tonight - I'm going to grill chicken, and I'll use the extra one for a chicken salad tomorrow).

spagetti sauce
spanish black beans
chicken noodle soup
vegitarian cheese dip
the guacamole is superb, but rarely is there any left over

Pizza is good the next day SOMETIMES... Chinese isn't too bad, depending on what you had, but Italian food with alfredo or creamy sauces SUCK. The sauce usually separates, and it's a big oily mess.

Lasagna – Cold, straight out of the pan, while still standing in the open refrigerator may be one of my favorite meals.

I LOVE leftovers.

I almost prefer them.

I much prefer cold foods than hot.

And mac and cheese cold is soooo good with the cheese all stuck to the mac...Mmmmmmm.

I won't eat leftover sushi or mashed potatoes. Both must be fresh or not at all for me.

Shellfish doesn't "keep" ...had enough bad experiences with that...eat it or leave it. But spaghetti, pizza, pork chops are decent leftover dishes IMO.
