Buried 0 #1 August 11, 2006 So why has no boogie ever moved the party to an ice skating rink or a roller rink? in college we had a few parties where we had rum&coke or snapps & hotchocolate and went ice skating for a few hours. was tons of fun. Who'd be interested in even setting something like that up? rent the rink and bring some drinks! Where is my fizzy-lifting drink?
simplyputsi 0 #2 August 11, 2006 You know you could be onto something here. You could have a theme night at your drop zone and make it like drink n skate. Jump during the day and then use the hangar as the rink at night. Only problem is people would have to bring their own skates and someone would have to dj and put the lights up. I don't know of any rink close to where I usually jump. By close I mean within 20 minute drive.Skymama's #2 stalker -

Zing 2 #6 August 11, 2006 Years ago at Ghoulidge a bunch of us from the dz headed into town where there was a roller skating rink. Oft times we were more than just drunk ... rolling rw ... the ten-way wedge intimidated the other skaters too much for management ... crack the whip was banned after someone came off the end and took out the refreshment stand. I ran into the owner one day at Tag's Cafe ... we'd be welcome to rent the hall for private parties, says he, but no more skydivers during general admission hours. Oh well.Zing Lurks

boinky 0 #8 August 11, 2006 QuoteSo why has no boogie ever moved the party to an ice skating rink or a roller rink? I've always been told that more skydivers get hurt doing "non-skydiving" activities than when they are actually skydiving. I DEFINITELY think that this would "fall" into that category (pun intended). Nina Are we called "DAWGs" because we stick our noses up people's butts? (RIP Buzz) Yep, you're a postwhore-billyvance
