AMD v/s Pentium

Anyone know what the AMD Sempron 3400 is comparable too on the pentium line? ie.. pentium I, II, III, IIII, celron, etc.

or if they don't want to spin that much cash they can just get an athlon 64 4000+ for $140 and be happy. there aren't that many games out there that use dual core right now.
