mpohl 1 #1 August 15, 2006 Sold a Mirage G3 container through the classifieds a few months ago. Beautiful piece of equipment: navy blue, pristine condition, MOS w/ all the fixin's. Alas, USPS lost the shipment between here, Georgia, and Colorado. After much hazzle, they finally paid up on insured value in the amount of $800. Maybe someone will get a sweet deal in an auction of the regional mail recovery center. If you come across Mirage S/N #2649, drop me a line. Of course, on the downside it might just get tossed in the dumpster by someone who does not know what they are looking at. /M

gravitational 0 #3 August 15, 2006 lesson learned. Don't use the USPS to ship items of value, especially with insurance. FedEx and UPS will pay up a ton faster. Had to use it on both and generally had a check in a week on damaged items, 2 weeks on lost.------ Michael
mpohl 1 #4 August 15, 2006 No, it doesn't! We just evolved to a higher level of consciousness and being. :) Of course, an ORIGINAL Bollingbroke boogie would de-evolve us in no time... P.S.: We have a daughter to add-on come October. QuoteThat sux.It also sux that you are selling your gear. .
mpohl 1 #5 August 15, 2006 My experience w/ USPS is more on the order of 8-10 weeks; just for reference. Quotelesson learned. Don't use the USPS to ship items of value, especially with insurance. There is a place in Scottsboro, AL that takes in all kinds of lost baggage and packages. I forget what it's called, but they have had skydiving gear go through a few times...
