NWFlyer 2 #2 August 15, 2006 Google is your friend, Grasshoppa. Kimblair13 0 #3 August 15, 2006 What's google? So I don't need one to go to Guam...but I guess my real question is...if I'm flying to Guam and my flight stops in Japan...do I need one? Even though my final destination is Guam? Or is it I only don't need a passport going to Guam if the stop is in Hawaii. Because all flights I've looked at have a stop in Hawaii or Japan...then onto Guam.
flyangel2 2 #4 August 15, 2006 My dad was stationed in Guam when I was very young. He thought it would be a great experience to take us kids. I loved living there. I just checked out their website, and things sure have changed since I was thereMay your trails be crooked, winding, lonesome, dangerous, leading to the most amazing view. airtwardo 7 #6 August 15, 2006 Go through Hawaii...if ya have the time take Continentals 'island hopper' there or back. It stops like a bus at several of the little islands along the way....kinda cool. Guam is a different kinda place....I spent a year there one week! ~ If you choke a Smurf, what color does it turn? ~
Nightingale 0 #7 August 15, 2006 QuoteDo I need a passport to travel from the states to Guam? No, you don't need one, but it's a good idea to have a passport when travelling abroad, even to a US territory, just in case you decide to spend a day somewhere else. gravitational 0 #8 August 15, 2006 QuoteWhat's google? but I guess my real question is...if I'm flying to Guam and my flight stops in Japan...do I need one? It is better to have one than not. It's $xx plus $10 (or so) for passport photos. You probably won't need the passport since you're transitioning throug but not stopping in Japan. If you get a delay though in Japan, it will be better to have a passport then you can leave the secured area and get back in. edit: here is the fee structure.------ Michael
freeflir29 0 #9 August 15, 2006 No doubt! You don't technically HAVE to have one but getting it will only help you. It's easy........doesn't cost that much and will make travelling SO much easier. It would SUCK to get stuck somewhere and you can't even leave the airport all over a Less than $70 little book. I like them so much I have 2.
NWFlyer 2 #10 August 15, 2006 I like to never be without a passport. I just like the idea that I could pick up and go anywhere on a whim. I've actually done it, but I like the idea that I can. And now that they're adding Canada and Mexico to the list of countries that require one, it makes it all that much more necessary."There is only one basic human right, the right to do as you damn well please. Interesting that you always have yours; I tend not to travel with mine unless I know that I'm going to be traveling internationally (figure there's less chance of it going missing if it just sits in my desk drawer until needed), but I suppose you never know if that opportunity to travel abroad on a whim will come when I'm not at home."There is only one basic human right, the right to do as you damn well please.
