Do you proofread and spell check your posts?

I'm pretty much the same as you. As much as i hate to admit it though, i'm not perfect and miss one every now and then.

Not that often but I guess I should ... I hate when I notice later I made a spelling error! But I'm not that particular it's mostly for the ones who are and send you pm to tell you you made a spelling error!

I'm a writer by trade and pedantic about spelling but never to the point of PM'ing someone, that's borderline crazy

I don't usually have spelling issues, but when I'm in a hurry - I sometimes use the wrong word - your and you're - great example. Of course, spell check doesn't help with things like that : (

For the record, I DON'T do that! I prefer public humiliation, and only for the people who invite it (my fellow pedants). And, I fully expect (and have received) the same treatment.

And yes, I don't usually bother with spell check but I always proofread.

I try to proof read all my posts.
I just figured out there was a spell check button (I'm learning this new fangled gadgetry), but iwould use my Daughters dictionary if it was available.

An Instructors first concern is student safety.
So, start being safe, first!!!

Yes. Sometimes one or two will slip through or I'll hit send too quick and go-back and correct it.

When I post in SC my serious side comes out of the closet, so I usually use MS Word (cut an paste) as it has a built in spell checker.

Here I don't bother I just stay in the closet

I checked the spelling of one of my posts last night... but only after I was told I couldn't spell...

generally I trust that people will know what I mean (even if a word or two is spelled a bit off... )
