wmw999 2,584 #26 August 16, 2006 This is one of the very few times I sound like a hardass. Gotta be mayo. Preferably Hellman's (I've made my own, Hellman's is easier). It belongs on tuna salad, chicken salad, egg salad, and in deviled eggs. That's it. Hamburgers or sandwiches with mayo on them are just slippery-slimy and gross. Them's the rules. Wendy W.There is nothing more dangerous than breaking a basic safety rule and getting away with it. It removes fear of the consequences and builds false confidence. jeiber 0 #27 August 16, 2006 QuoteOn the other hand, my son hates any kind of condiments on his sandwiches. I don't know how he eats it that way. I was that way as a kid. Ate my burgers plain. Didn't like cheese on my pizza either. Would take the cheese off, then put all the other toppings back on. Yeah, I guess I was a pretty wierd kid.Shhh... you hear that sound? That's the sound of nobody caring!
skymama 37 #28 August 16, 2006 He'll eat melted cheese like on pizza or quesadillas but he won't just eat a piece of cheese. Don't even get him started on how nasty he thinks Cool Whip is (which I love!). Neither one of my kids really like breakfast food. They never give me the chance to spoil them with a big breakfast, they'd rather have cereal! Back to the mayo, my daughter loves Hellman's. I often want to ask her if she'd like some meat and cheese with her mayo sandwich! She is Da Man, and you better not mess with Da Man, because she will lay some keepdown on you faster than, well, really fast. ~Billvon
guppie01 0 #29 August 16, 2006 QuoteWhat if you like both and go both ways depending on your mood? Have you ever had Miracle Whip on a turkey sammich? Mmmmmm... How about some mustard on your sammich? ditto! g"Let's do something romantic this Saturday... how bout we bust out the restraints?" Raddest Ho this side of Jersey #1 - MISS YOU OMG, is she okay? boinky 0 #31 August 16, 2006 I eat very little mayo nowadays, but NEVER Miracle Whip. When I DO eat mayo, I don't care what brand, but it has to be "light" because of the amount of calories saved. That usually means buying Kraft. But none of that "fat free" shit. That stuff's just NASTY! Actually though, I've started using Spicy Golden Brown mustard on most things that I used to eat mayo on. Saves tons of calories...and adds a nice flavor! Nina Are we called "DAWGs" because we stick our noses up people's butts? Well now you know how to address a mayonnaise emergency east of the Rockies.
 billeisele 130 #44 August 17, 2006 Commercial mayonnaise sold in jars originated in New York City, in Manhattan's Upper West Side. In 1905, the first ready-made mayonnaise was sold at Richard Hellmann's delicatessen. In 1932, Best Foods bought out the Hellmann's brand. By then both mayonnaises had such commanding market shares in their own half of the country that it was decided that both brands be preserved. To this day, Best Foods Mayonnaise is only sold west of the Rocky Mountains, while Hellmann's is sold east of the Rockies. Duke's Mayonnaise, still made to the original recipe, remains a popular brand of mayonnaise in the Southeast, although it is not generally available in other markets. Of special note to diabetics, Duke's mayonnaise is the only major mayonnaise available in the United States which does not include sugar as an ingredient. personally i don't like any of the stuff, a little mustard in the tuna sald works for meGive one city to the thugs so they can all live together.
