sweethog

You must make sure of what generation sweethog you're talking about. They go way back to when dinosaurs roamed the earth.

One dates from 1991 and the other one from 1993.
I probably won't buy any of the two, but I would like to see what this kind of container looks like. I've already did searches on internet and on this site, to no avail.

Just because it's older, don't mean it's junk, the sweethogs were well known to be over built and very tough rigs.

No reason to rule them out till you see them I just helped a girl buy a 1989 Sweethog complete rig that was a closet queen and looked to be brand new with the current late 90's cypres mods and a MR 150 and a reven 1 main for 600.00 bucks, it fits her like made custom, now all she needs is an AAD and she jumping for less then the cost of a new HC.

So it depends on WHY your looking at them and what you want to spend and what you want to do with it.
Sorry I don't have a photo handy of one.

That's a modern version, My sweethog was from the Jurassic period.

That's not what I meant.
It's just that I'd prefer to but a rig that looks a little 'newer'. Since I had no idea what the container looks like, I thought I'd ask for a pic on here.

Right now I'm looking at anything I come across, cause I'm sick and tired of paying gear rental every time. And I only have like 1300 euros to spend. I know that's not much (especially if I want a container that looks 'newer') but the 6 rig-descriptions I got offered in that email were all for a price of about 1000 euros.

The value of any used rig should be considered by its individual components separately. Many people selling gear will inflate their asking price above the value of the individual components because they are selling a complete rig - don't fall for it..

A 16 or 14 year old sweethog container has very little value left in it, meaning that if you tried to sell the container by itself you might only be able to get $100 or less (and it might take a long time to find a buyer, even if it is in really good condition). The simple reality is that very few will buy such a container. That doesn't mean it isn't safe or that it isn't worth buying, but the real market value of the container is almost nothing. Don't let the desire to get something quickly make you pay more than it is worth, It may well be a very good deal, you get a complete rig for the price of the main and reserve. You can get another container at any time in the future.
