LisaM 0 #26 August 22, 2006 Ok thene was a blast from the past! I used to live in Manchester. To raise money for cystic fibrosis, I once climbed the stairs in Watterson 25 times. ~ Lisa ~ Do you Rigminder?
Shell666 0 #27 August 23, 2006 QuoteA massive thunder storm has just popped up out of nowhere. When I was a kid, though it rained all the time, we rarely had thunder and lightning so the whole neighborhood would be out watching when a storm would blow through. I still love them to this day but have several friends who hate them. So how about you, aside from when they disrupt your skydiving, how do you feel about thunder and lightning? I have just spent the last hour or so listening to the thunder and the DELUGE of rain on my covered deck (which, apparently leaks ...). The thunder is AMAZING, the lightening show (fork and sheet) even BETTER and the sound of the rain ... while it's drowning out my music ... is even cooler. And it's coming down AGAIN!!! My dad used to take me and my brother out in the 1970-something Gran Torino Station Wagon (yes, with the fake wood panels on the doors!) outside the city when a storm came so we could sit and watch the lightening .. way cool kid memories! And we sat outside on the deck tonight and watched it again ... just like when I was a kid. Thunder and lightening ... WAY cool! godfrog 2 #28 August 23, 2006 Some of the best thunder and lightening shows were when I was young down in Arizona. you would see the flash the same time as the thunder and it would shake your innards and in minutes the ground would be covred in inches of water!Experience is a difficult teacher, she gives you the test first and the lesson afterward
irisheyes 0 #29 August 23, 2006 It's funny, I never associate AZ with thunderstorms, but since posting this I have heard so many thunderstorm stories about AZ. Must be quite a show. We actually have one rearing its head here now!!!
