kelel01 1 #1 August 23, 2006 K, so I get an e-mail from my advisor at my soon-to-be school with all this bullshit about classes I'm "missing". One of those is English 1101. K, let's think about this. I have a BACHELOR'S DEGREE. I took English 1102. MAYBE, just MAYBE, that means she should dig a little deeper . . . like looking at the top of the page where it says "ENG 101" (we were still on quarters then) "- EXEMPT". Then she tells me she can't tell me the transfer equivalents for any of the courses I "need", but that "they probably don't have an equivalent at KSU anyway. You need to take them here." Yeah, I'm sure KSU doesn't have a comparable Psych class. Maybe I should just stick with the known evil, rather than trying out a new one. At what age can you give someone an IQ test to mandate whether or not they get sent off to "the island"?
unformed 0 #2 August 23, 2006 What you gotta do is be really nice to your counselor, and you'll get classes signed off that you never even took because they sound similar. Trust me on that. This ad space for sale.
swedishcelt 0 #3 August 23, 2006 I got a call Monday saying I owed 4,000 still and that my schedule was to be dropped. I drive an hour to the bursar's office and they say "Oops, we made a mistake, we owe YOU."

simplyputsi 0 #6 August 23, 2006 You got a good one there. When I transferred there they couldn't figure out some of my classes so they just put them in the place of what was closest. I had been on semesters and was going to them on quarters. I ended up not having to take a quarter of history which I hate. I don't know what is going on with you and that school but holy bejesus batman.Skymama's #2 stalker -
LisaM 0 #7 August 23, 2006 I tried to transfer colleges once.... transferred right back because they then told me I was gonna have to repeat most of my core classes again. I think not! ~ Lisa ~ Do you Rigminder?
kelel01 1 #8 August 23, 2006 Well, this is a GCSU advisor. Maybe God, Allah, Buddha and the Easter Bunny are all trying to tell me I shouldn't be in school. But I love class! I gave them a copy of my transcript from the old school as well as a copy of the 1993 catalog. The class descriptions were basically the same, so I have no idea why they wouldn't accept it. And of course I've been at this school for two years now, writing formal research papers in almost every class I've taken. Of course, that was my fault for not getting that straightened out when I first started at this school... But when I did finally turn in my transcript eval, it took them six months to get it back to me! If it had been returned to me even a few months sooner, it would have made a big difference...
