AC/DC was the last group I saw in concert, during their BallBreaker tour. I would go see them again and again. They put on the best show, period. cloudseeker2001 0 #17 August 23, 2006 I just saw Dave Mathews Band last Friday night and it was probably the best show I have seen in a long time. Music and sound was great. I am not a huge DMB fan but every song was out of this world. I saw Tom Petty a few weeks ago as well and it was another good show-much better than the DVD I have. AggieDave 6 #24 August 23, 2006 QuoteSaw SRV in Manchester, NH six weeks before he was killed. Joe Cocker opened up. Stevie passed way too young... I'm really jealous! That's something I wish I could have seen. The last concert that I actually bought tickets for was Maynard Ferguson, saw him in Austin a couple of years ago. Nothing fancy, just good ol Maynard. For someone as old as he is, he really still has some chops! Since then I've seen a couple of non-traditional concerts, saw Pat Green, Robert Earl and a few others at random shows at random bars. I missed Pat Green's improv concert at the Dixie Chicken a couple of years ago. Was walking from Fitzwilly's back to my truck after lunch one afternoon back in 2001 when I heard someone playing guitar on the back porch of the Chicken. I thought to myself "huh, that guy covers Pat Green really well" and kept walking. I later found out (like 3 hours later) that it was him and he was just sitting on the back porch playing a borrowed guitar and drinking beer. That would have been cool. It was also before he became popular in the mainstream country scene and still wrote ok music.--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline."
