Keeping Cool

Recommended Posts

A few months ago, I moved into a room made out of a garage to save money on rent and have more money for jumps..... the room I live in doesn't exactly have air conditioning. Lately I've been taking ice cold showers before bed and turning up my fan super high... but it's still pretty hot here in florida. I've even put a t-shirt in the freezer each night, and wear it to bed.

Does anyone have some funky suggestions so I can keep cool at night?

cut a hole into the house and use a fan to pull the AC into the garage, make a canopy over the bed to help contain the cooler air, no sex;)

if you're not into borrowing someone elses cold air then get a small AC unit and only run it when you are there, anything you can do to make the space you are trying to cool smaller will help, the smaller the volume being cooled the less electricity
Give one city to the thugs so they can all live together. I vote for Chicago where they have strict gun laws.

I own one of THESE and swear by it. Worth every penny. Not only can it cool, it can also be heated if need be. Not only could you sleep in it, you could wear it during the day when you're skydiving. In fact, thats what I use it for when it is hot as hell outside. They also work great for staying cool in the tunnel.

Actually drinking something warm is better, it tells the body its hot and therefore produces sweat which cools the body down. If you are to cold you should drink cold water as it makes your body try to warm up....
Sudsy Fist: i don't think i'd ever say this

Like I said, worth every penny. Once you use it you will never want to be without it when its hot out. So far, its cheaper and more effective than any of the other suggestions PLUS you can use it while skydiving and at home. Lets see you jump with an air conditioner:D
