New Jumpsuit - colours etc

Recommended Posts

Hi there,

I'm looking at getting a new Symbiosis Excel suit (http://symbiosissuits.co.uk/), and could do with your advice - firstly on the suit itself:

Any advice on high-collar vs low-collar? I was thinking high?
And should I be looking at getting a Jack-knife pocket for an extra £10?

Also - the colours.

The attachment is what I've come up with so far.
Can anyone come up with anything that would look better?

My helmet is carbon, and my alti black. I'm still hiring rigs, but chances are I'll buy a dark coloured one when I get the cash together! I'll probably wait until I have B license and a fair few jumps beyond that before I take the plunge and get a rig, anyway. I'm just sick of wearing DZ hire suits, and have some spare cash.

Thanks in advance for your advice,

*T

nice. the only thing is with that much black it will get real hot in the sun (especially if you have a nylon front). also the white will show dirt more. personally i'd go with a color for the binding tape.

White is the hottest looking colour in the sky. Just got 2 new white suits with a black and grey strip and a red pinstripe.

White looks fantastic in the sky.

You can, of course, wash the suit if it gets dirty.:o

Tom, nice suit.

I have one like that, black and orange. Don't worry about temperature, you're in the UK :P

High collar is GOOD, go for it.

Don't worry about the Jack pocket unless you want a Jack in your pocket.

If you have any questions, write to Rob, he is very helpful.

Or you want to stash an emergency cigarette in there, only to discover just how mashed it can get on just one jump :$

I have no comlpaints about my Excel, and the high collar on it is nice, though I'm not sure how useful it is - it's just a comfort/look thing, IMO.

I like your colours, too.

Thanks for that advice!
And everyone else, too!

I'm going to ring them up tomorrow and have a chat.

Is white such a bad idea then?

What about adding dark grey kneepads - will that look naff?

Hi there,

Rang them up today and had a quick chat about colours etc.
Apparently the white WILL lose a bit of brightness, but will still look good from afar and cleans up really well.
The guy (who was really helpful) was a bit against the dark grey knee pads - but emphasised that was a personal thing.
I think I'm going to stick with my original design, unless anyone has anything else to offer!

Just got to decide wether to make it a "rush" order (£40 extra) and have it to jump at the start of the summer, or wait another 6 weeks...

Hmmm...

It's 2 jump tickets!

One word about the colors:

BORING!

Where's the pink or magenta or purple in this? It's available, why not use it?
Relax, you can die if you mess up, but it will probably not be by bullet.
