irisheyes 0 #1 August 26, 2006 Hi, I just got a bluetooth headset to go with my RAZR and I love it. Ordinarily I can go a few days without charging the phone. Is this just coincidence, or in your experience does using bluetooth take more out of the battery than just using the phone regularly? Thanks, Carol
mnealtx 0 #2 August 26, 2006 You'll use more battery with Bluetooth enabled, since it has to keep a "connection" to the headset active all the time... you should be able to get at least a day out of it though, I would think... irisheyes 0 #3 August 26, 2006 That explains it, thank you! Guess I am going to have to get better at charging the phone each evening.
swedishcelt 0 #4 August 26, 2006 Because of that I hate bluetooth. I always end up just keeping a wire headset.

I bought the phone I have now (Moto V551) because of the bluetooth - I was tired of getting tangled up in wired headsets, etc... After trying several BT headsets and either not being able to hold a connection or not being able to hear over the damn thing, I resigned myself to the wired headset...Mike I love you, Shannon and Jim. LisaM 0 #6 August 26, 2006 I turn my headset off between calls when I know I won't be using it for a while. I can turn it on quick enough if the phone rings. ~ Lisa ~ Do you Rigminder?
irisheyes 0 #7 August 26, 2006 Unfortunately, like mnealtx, I tend to get tangled up in the wire too. The bluetooth I bought is comfortable and has great reception, better than the phone itself even, so I'm going to try to keep using it (so long as I don't run out of battery every other call ). irisheyes 0 #8 August 26, 2006 I'm embarrassed to admit that although I turn it off at night I had not actually thought to turn it off between calls. Thanks for the pointer!!!

rwieder 0 #10 August 27, 2006 Buy an extended life battery and an extra battery with a charger. The BT drains a battery quickly.-Richard- "You're Holding The Rope And I'm Taking The Fall"
