gitRdone 0 #1 August 25, 2006 I will never understand the need for drama and excuses by some. I am putting together an outing for several folks from work to come out and make a Tandem Skydive. Several of them are very excited and have been encouraging others to come along with us. One such person who apparently was on the fence just sent a mass email entitled - why you should never skydive... I opened the email to see a link to watch the infamous Lutz video... Skydiving isn't for everyone, no need for drama, just say no thank you and leave it at that. Why do people feel the need to make excuses rather than just say no thanks??? DSE 5 #2 August 25, 2006 For the same reason that some skydivers feel the need to push their reasons for skydiving down other people's throats. Look, any time you have passionate people about anything, you should expect equally passionate people on the other side of the discussion. Look at what's happened with religion in the past decade. It would be tacky if you showed someone doing his/her normal activity and flying through a car windshield. Just explain Lutz is a Lutz more people enjoy the sport than have THAT sort of experience and its not conducive to a group outing to find a horror clip and scare everyone.
