Mary is typically depicted with her head & body covered in loose, flowing robes. So people are just taking any vaguely elliptical shape & saying it's a vision of the Virgin Mary.

I've got a used gym sock lying on my floor right now in approximately that shape. Anyone wanna come over & worship it? I have beer.

Oh me ME ME MEMEMEMEMEMEME! But only if the beer is import and not domestic.

And then I can prove once and for all that you really AREN'T black! :D:D:D

Back in the '80's when I lived in Phoenix, there was a Yucca plant that had one of those wild, woody sprouts coming out of the top of it. It curved up and over rather crazily, as they often do and it made what many thought looked like the outline of Our Lady of Guadelupe. Of course, The tree was chopped down >:( and was mounted on a pedestal and paraded downtown in a crazy ass religious procession in veneration.

I'm sure it helped some peoples faith, which I guess is good, but...

hmm, sorry the beer in my house is domestic. It's all homebrew: hefeweizen, smoked porter, IPA, and a California Steam beer.B|

I drink mostly domestic beer: American craft beer and/or my homebrew.B|
