AggieDave 6 #3 August 29, 2006 Call Mark with Single-Helix. 979-764-8558 He makes the cool pins that have stuff in them, like these. They've got others too. I think they're the coolest thing out there.--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline."

lisamariewillbe 1 #6 August 30, 2006 Maybe its not everywhere but how I got mine (well my first one) is I had impressed a friend and he gave me his and told me what I had done that in his mind warrented giving his pin. Its just what I had always heard was they were usually "earned" granted now I have a few, one to go with dresses, casual ect ect .... I might be wrong though and it might have just been that area. Where my boyfriend jumps they add one for their reserve rides.Sudsy Fist: i don't think i'd ever say this Sudsy Fist: but you're looking damn sudsydoable in this
Calvin19 0 #7 August 30, 2006 if you ask me,.. (granted, nobody did, but i dont care) Only use a pin that has been used on a parachute, it makes it feel more meaningful. dont get one that was made specificaly for a necklace, those alwase look kinda retarded. I tore my pin off an old crew bridal, laced it in mammut 2mm cordage, and wore it until my best girlfreind and sky/diver/BASE jumper crashed my airplane and was killed, it was creamated with her. now im trying to find a new pin. NWFlyer 2 #10 August 30, 2006 Wear what you want, people. If you want to make your own necklace, great. If you want to buy one someone else has made, great. If you want to wait till someone gives you one for some special reason, great. If you want to wait till you have your first "memorial" closing pin, great (well, not great that someone died, of course). Some people think closing pin jewlery is cliche. Other people think it's great. Some people just want a cool-looking piece of jewelery, others want it to have special meaning. It's all good. Mine is cooler (not the ones I make, my personal one) Do a search as there's a thread out there that lists all (most) of the people who make closing pin necklaces.------ Michael
