flyangel2 2 #26 August 31, 2006 QuoteI ask to speak with a supervisor, figuring that there must be a hitch in the webbie's git-along. Explaining the problem to him, he nods understandingly. He really does understand...he's sympathetic and nice. Then he tells me "well, there are 32 seats in all. We close the class when it gets to 27, so we can save some seats for those who need it." So I explain to him I'm one of those who need it, and he says "you don't fit the criteria." "What criteria?" I ask...and he says "that's confidential." While reading your post I was just thinking what you said about just going to class. When I taught I had a limit put on my classes because of the work load with grading papers, but when ever there was a student that took the time to come to my first class, sit through it all, and then talk to me afterwards, I let them in. There is a drop out rate. Good luck. I'm so lucky I got all the classes I needed.May your trails be crooked, winding, lonesome, dangerous, leading to the most amazing view. May your mountains rise into and above the clouds. - Edward Abbey
Nightingale 0 #27 August 31, 2006 If you're really desperate, Fullerton College has 3 open anatomy classes. Hell of a drive, though (but about 4 blocks from the train station). Edited to add: the extra seats are probably saved for people who need that one class to graduate.
