QuoteUm, hello?
Everyone knows Costco is where it's at.
And it's a little funny you have a BJ card.
OK, OK...enough teasing...I only tease the ones I love...
Actually I tease everyone...but I tease the ones I love the most.
I agree about Costco, but the closest one to me is about an hours drive.

I love BJ's...in every sense of the term.

QuoteOne of these days, I'm coming home with a 52" Plasma Flat Screen TV.
We have a perfectly good big screen TV. But alas, it is not flat screen. And it is not plasma or HD.
![[:/] [:/]](/uploads/emoticons/dry.png)
And we were recently told our TV uses a LOT of electricity; much more so than the newer flat screen, high-definition TV's do.
![[:/] [:/]](/uploads/emoticons/dry.png)
Thus...I'm afriad I'm on the verge of coming home with the exact same thing.

I currently have a 27" flat screen HD ready, but not plasma. You only get HD quality if the network broadcasts in HD. However, most dvd's are HD and the quality is the bomb.
I do have satellite TV, so I'm not complaining about the quality right now.

Since the offense wasn't bad enough to remain in either of our memory banks, I suppose you can have it back now.![]()

While plasma TVs are kinda neat, especially when room is scarce, HD CRT TVs still have the best picture (and are ridiculously heavy...I think my 32" is about 250 lbs). Also, very few movies are currently available in HD DVD...maybe a hundred tops. But that's ok unless you're one of the few people who currently own an HD DVD player.

But, I don't buy such things which are not considered investments lightly. Thus, when I do I buy the best there is (at the best/most competitive price) at the moment and go another 10 years or whatever until that one breaks before going at it again.
Thus, plasma, HD, Flat-panel, HUGE, whatever is all essential in my next purchase.

Why yes, I believe it is.
