StreetScooby 5 #9 September 1, 2006 Quote Thanks, that helps! You're welcome! Sorry, but I don't have words that can fully describe the experience to someone who hasn't had one. tbrown 26 #15 September 1, 2006 Once, at a Grateful Dead concert. And I wasn't on anything either, really. I wasn't even drinking that year. It was pretty cool, it happened while the two drummers were doing their thing. Plenty of different cultures use drumming to induce trances and I think that's what happened. StreetScooby 5 #17 September 2, 2006 Quote How are they induced? Mine? After a prolonged steady practice of meditation, about 2 years. Prior to the OBEs, I had many meditation sessions where I thought it was 20 minutes elapsed time, and it was actually hours in elapsed time.We are all engines of karma

chrissylicious 0 #21 September 2, 2006 one time when I lived in California I was sleeping on the couch. I remember waking up but feel groggy and slow. I realized that I was dreaming and started to have fun with it by floating. Then I started hearing growling in the hallway and I got scared. I then saw myself (as if I was floating above) fall to the couch and start pinching myself to try to wake myself up. I woke up pinching myelf and my heart was racing 100 miles a minute."I will stick you with a rope"- ME

joedirt 0 #23 September 2, 2006 Right now it's at 57% yes. Is it really over half the skydiving population that have had one? How come more people don't talk about it? Or are we just so used to drug experiences that it doesn't mean anything?

Muenkel 0 #25 September 2, 2006 Yes, the night I struck my head. When I fell down my stairs, I struck my head really hard on a stone floor. I felt an excrutiating pain, like a bolt of lightning, go from my head down my spine through my legs and out my feet. At that moment I was above myself looking down on my dead body. It took many months before I remembered all these details. Now it is as clear as if it happened just a few moments ago.
