Who wants to go to a shuttle launch tomorrow?

Recommended Posts

Okay, for those of you in FL that know me (I can't keep track of all you slackers), I have an extra ticket to the shuttle Atlantis launch tomorrow. It includes maximum access which is access to the museum, IMAX, and the causeway viewing site 6 miles from the pad!B| It also includes lunch with an astronaut.

My wife is off in New Orleans this month doing a medical school rotation so I have a spare ticket.

We have to be there at 8:30 am to get access and I'm leaving Clearwater at 5:30 am so you either have to meet me there or in Clearwater.

If I know ya', or if you can come up with a real good reason why you should go, PM me. First come first served. I'll check my PM's when I get home in a couple of hours.:)
ps... there's no charge on the ticket. It's free, as in beer.;)

There's no such thing as a free launch.

You're gonna laugh - I actually checked into award tickets from Seattle to Orlando. I can get to MCO by 7:15 tomorrow morning... but that's pushing it to get there by 8:30, and I can't get back till Monday, which isn't gonna work with work.

Hope you find someone cool who can go with you! Great opportunity!

I have to say...YOU SUCK!!!! (in the nicest possible way ofcourse) and I am beyond jealous!:P:P:P

But, on a side note, I just found out that a friend of mine's dad was one in the crisis group of engineers that they threw together in Houston to come up with a solution to the Apollo 13 emergency. So he actually helped save Apollo 13.He has signed pics saying "thanks for bringing us home" etc. all over his walls from all the astronauts from after they got back and tons of other NASA stuff.Cool shit! But hes so humble and never talks about it.You have to pry it out of him to talk about it.Hell some of it he cant talk about b/c its still classified!:|
