I agree with you on the Big XII/SEC debate, but I do take exception to two things you said.

t.u. players were getting upset and ripping face masks and doing what they do best...

***t.u. got what they deserved in that game

Care to elaborate on these?

Edit: I will accept discussion over a few beers at AOT as sufficient elaboration. ;)

I wasn't trying to imply that the Big 12 was weak.

You said that the "other conferences" (which by inference include the SEC) have only "one or two" good teams. I'm saying that there are significantly more than "one or two" good teams in the SEC. And so, I ask you to point out which of those SEC teams are the "one or two" good ones, and which you would say are the not so good.

That sucks that all the OSU players are probably going to go to jail. Because they raped Texas.

LOL.....Where's is all the talk about Ohio State's defense now? Sure Texas scored 50+ points last week....against a high school team. I was just happy to share the win with 2 longhorn fans here in Deland!

So, at risk of inciting Billy Vance to violence, which of the following are the one or two good teams in the SEC?

Alabama
Auburn
Florida
Georgia
Louisiana State
Tennessee

You think a schedule that includes Auburn, Florida and Tennessee every year is weak?

All of those teams are strong, however, I think Alabama would be the weakest of that list. Of course, the jury's still out on Tennessee and Georgia. Tennessee squeaked out a 31-30 win over Air Force and lost two starters to injury for the rest of the season. Georgia lost its starting QB for about a month to a high ankle sprain, but they did impressively shut out South Carolina on the road.

Goddamn it, if Alabama doesn't do something to get its damn offense rolling, they're in serious shit. 10 drives that got into the red zone so far in two games got only 1 touchdown...

Imagine having to play Arkansas, LSU, Tennessee and Florida all on the road??? Add Auburn at home in the season finale... We had better do something... :|

My entire office is out of TX except me here in Ohio. I took some abuse last year, this year its all about the gloating on Monday.

I can't help but think it may have been a better game if not for Texas' fumble in the red zone, but I think OSU would have still won, as they are clearly a better team.

I suffered the loser tri-fecta. My HS, Union, (where I work) lost to arch cross town rivals, Jenks. My favorite college team lost, Texas whomped on by OSU, and finally, the Pokes got beat by the jags.

Sigh, the only way is up! :|

Well let me just tell you from a first hand perspective in Columbia, SC this weekend... I honestly did not feel at ease until about 4 minutes left to go in the 4th. Despite the lead, Georgia was still playing against the "evil genius". I never count Spurrier out early.

However that was Georgia's first shut out on the road against an SEC team in 25 years. That part is impressive.

As far as our team goes... I am not 100% sold on Stafford yet. He almost zero "touch" everything he throws is a bullet right now. Not to mention he gets a bit of happy feet. At least one of his three interceptions he should have tucked and ran. Against any of our big three SEC opponents, that could very well have been a gamebreaker. You can't throw three interceptions against teams like Tennessee, Florida, or Auburn!

Having said that... I do believe Stafford will mature and should be a serious weapon within the next two years! Maybe we can recruit a couple of big time wide receivers now...

Goudha is for Buddha, and that's good enough for me!
