lawrocket 3 #101 September 11, 2006 I was disappointed in House. The finale. I was proud of Scrubs for being probably the only medical show that didn't have a character get shot in the season finale. Think about it - House, ER (I think), Grey's Anatomy - they all had a doctor get capped. What I like about House is the anti-hero: a drug-addicted, arrogant diagnostic genius. I'd like to see his residents start to get more stuff right from the start. I'll continue to watch the show unless I figure it just becomes too formulaic. My wife is hotter than your wife. I'll continue to watch the show unless I figure it just becomes too formulaic I don't watch the other shows...and I didn't mind at all that House took a bullet. That episode was quite funny--House being layed up next to the guy who shot him and the banter that ensued. His residents have been getting more right lately. Keep in mind they're res-i-dents and House is the diagnostic genius. Just accept that. But this last episode Cameron had some great ideas that House utilized. I'm a little sad though---I kinda saw it coming, and am not sure what I want to happen---but the whole end of the episode where House took his cane out of the closet.Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back. PLFXpert 0 #104 September 13, 2006 Oh yea...did anyone else see House (Hugh Laurie) on Ellen yesterday??? <---DVR'd it. It was hilarious. And, like Ellen, I still can't get over his English accent. I've heard other actors before go back and forth and it's not at all shocking, but for some reason on Hugh Laurie it is utterly crazy to hear him talk in his natural accent.Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back. littleskycrab 0 #105 September 13, 2006 I said it before and I'll say it again......... I freaking love this show!! If any of my Oncologists had his bedside manner, I probably wouldn't mind going to the Dr. as much! Can't wait till next week!Next time a sunrise steals your breath or a meadow of flowers leaves you speechless, remain that way. Say nothing and listen as heaven whispers, "Do you like it? I did it just for you."
PLFXpert 0 #106 September 13, 2006 I LOVED last night's episode when he needed the boy to hallucinate: "They're here! They're coming to get you!" Billy and I were laughing last week at the preview for last night's episode when they showed the clip: House: "The lab...could not identify the metal." Chase: "Are you serious?!" House: "No, you idiot. It's titanium." Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.
tmaricle55 0 #107 September 13, 2006 But Chase is SO cute... you had to feel bad for him! Muff Brother # 3883, SCR # 14796 ICD # 1 - Pres. Yeah, I noticed and I think it's funny!
PLFXpert 0 #108 September 13, 2006 I thought of another funny line from last night: House: (talking about the big, high-def, flat panel TV in the conference room) "Foreman, you have to steal me one of these." Foreman: "I'll alert the hommies." Here are some of the funny lines from House: Click different seasons to read morePaint me in a corner, but my color comes back. littleskycrab 0 #109 September 13, 2006 yea, i about pissed myself laughing at that one. house has got to be the single best "comedy?" that has been on tv in what seems like forever.Next time a sunrise steals your breath or a meadow of flowers leaves you speechless, remain that way. PLFXpert 0 #110 September 13, 2006 I haven't enjoyed a show this much in a long time, I'll give you that. I also love his semantics & verbage. Like this, taken from Season One's House-isms: Foreman: "A tuberculoma doesn't give you a temperature of 105." Chase: "Then it's tuberculoma and something else." Wilson" "The 'something else' is going to melt her brain." House. "Poach. Better metaphor." or Patient's mom: "Who are you?" House: "I'm the doctor who's trying to save your son. You're the mom who's letting him die. Clarification. It's a beautiful thing." Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.
Kris 0 #111 September 13, 2006 QuoteHis residents have been getting more right lately. Keep in mind they're res-i-dents and House is the diagnostic genius. Just accept that. But this last episode Cameron had some great ideas that House utilized. Actually, they're not residents. They're board-certified attendings. The premise is that they're supposed to be young wunderkind experts in their fields. Cameron is an immunologist, Chase is an intensivist, and Foreman is a neurologist. And, umm, yeah, I love the show too.Sky, Muff Bro, Rodriguez Bro, and Bastion of Purity and Innocence!™
PLFXpert 0 #112 September 13, 2006 I was wrong. I didn't think residents sounded right, either, considering a good friend of mine just graduated med school and is now serving his "residency". You know, sometimes blondes put two and two together. But, I do think they're something to House that separates them from simply being an immunologist, intensivist and neurologist. I've never bothered to look up what.Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.

littleskycrab 0 #116 September 13, 2006 WHAT!!!! Never heard of Rescue Me! Girlfriend, we gotta talk. You may very well have to turn in your chick card for that! Nip/Tuck is the equivalent to chick porn - tues, 10pm on FX. Rescue Me just ended its season, but you can catch the re-runs on FX. Both are worth the time spent drooling....... DavidST 0 #118 September 13, 2006 I love house. Of course i haven't gotten to watch a single episode this season yet cause of duty at the firehouse. I need a TivoAs a general rule, the better it felt when you said it, the more trouble it's going to get you into.
PLFXpert 0 #119 September 13, 2006 QuoteI need a Tivo Yes you do!!! I admit, I only got DVR when the last Survivor finale was going to be on a night I wasn't going to be home (and we've long since disconnected our VCRs). We called that morning and signed up for the service so I wouldn't miss it! Most shows, even the ones I like, I'm not too upset if I miss them. I like & watch TV, but I'm not that kinda addict. It's been the "high life" ever since. I'm always the last to jump on the new technology bandwagon--mostly b/c I'm pretty stingy when it comes to spending money on anything non-investment (with the exception of fun time.). I think it's silly to buy a new TV just 'cause they make one when mine works fine... But anywho... TIVO, I can definitely vouche for!Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.
