Anybody remember what they were doing and where they were when the news broke that Reagan was shot?

I'm old enough to remember that. My parents and I were visiting distant relatives in Memphis when the maid ran into the living room from the kitchen and broke the news. We all turned the big TV on and watched the news the rest of the day.

John Hinckley is still in that mental hospital to this day, getting a trip home to parents every once in a while.

As a matter of fact, I remember the days of the Challenger and Columbia shuttle disasters very well.

Heck, I remember where I was when JFK was shot, and I remember eating some cool Sputnik bubble gum when I was about 4

I was thinking of the old curse of every president that had been elected on a 20 year cycle had died in office

(don't say it -- don't say it -- don't say it -- don't say it)

There, I'm all better now.

I was home from school, probably watching TV when the news broke in. Can't remember whether it happened after normal school hours or if I was home all day for some reason. I would have been in 4th or 5th grade at the time.

I think I was busy being born when Reagan was shot.:P OK, maybe I was a few months old.;)

I barely remember the Challenger incident. I was in Kindgergarten and I remember they had a memorial display in my elementary school w/ a big photo of everyone on board.
Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.

What were you doing when Kennedy was shot, or King George VI died?

But for the failed attempt by that dastardly - but incompetent - pretzel, Reagan would have been the sole exception...:D

Are you serious?

I wonder if you have ever seen livestock killed with one shot from a .22cal?

I saw a steer shot with a 30-30 win and it looked kind of annoyed(headshot) then a 22 was used and it went down like a ton of bricks.

.22cal was the choice or Pro's, and the choice of the Moussad.

In fact the Mossad used .22cal with some of the powder removed(subsonic) for contact shots.
