TheGirlWonder 0 #26 September 14, 2006 If for no other reason, go to 4 year college because its fun!!! I graduated a couple of years ago and had such a good time the entire way through. College isnt hard. The only hard part is learning how to manage your time between the things you want to do and the things you have to do. If you can overcome the procrastination bug, you'll be good to go. You'll graduate with amazing memories, lifelong friends, and a degree that will open a lot of doors (even if you dont decide accounting is for you). Plus, you can always go back to beauty school. Your 4 year education can only serve to make you more successful if you want to make real money and open up your own shop someday.

Richards 0 #28 September 14, 2006 QuoteQuoteI need some advice. I was accepted Washington State University today and I have the chance to become anything I want (probably an accountant) or I can go for a year of beauty school. I feel I would be good at both but what I am really wanting to know is what is the best thing for the future. What would you prefer to spend the next 40 years of your life doing? Money should not be the overriding factor. QuoteDoes anyone have any advice on beauty school vrs. accounting? Don't know anything about beauty school (I'm to damned ugly), but the average B.Comm should prep you well for your CA/CPA/CGA/CMA or even CFA. One advantage to Business school is that if you find you actually don't like accounting there are several other majors you can try (Finance, Economics, HR,Management Science, Marketting, ITM) so you have many diverse routes to take. That said, if your passion is for Beauty School you should go with what you have a passion for. Quotewould love to hear what you would do I'm sure you would but I won't tell you because it is you that needs to make this choice. I'm sure you will make the right decision for you. Cheers Richards My biggest handicap is that sometimes the hole in the front of my head operates a tad bit faster than the grey matter contained within. Your future's so unclear now, What's left of your career now? Can't even get a trade in on your smile! Angels: (La lalala lalala lalala...) Beauty school dropout, No graduation day for you. Beauty school dropout, Missed your midterms and flunked shampoo! Well at least you could have taken time, to wash and clean your clothes up, After spending all that dough to have the doctor fix your nose up! Baby get moving (Baby get movin), Why keep your feeble hopes alive? What are you proving (What are you provin)? You've got the dream but not the drive. Well they couldn't teach you anything, You think you're such a looker, But no customer would go to you unless she was a hooker! Baby don't sweat it (Don't sweat it), You're not cut out to hold a job. Better forget it (Forget it), Who wants their hair done by a slob? Now your bangs are curled, your lashes whirled, but still the world is cruel. Wipe off that angel face and go back to high school! If you think you will like to be a hairstylist I can tell you there is some pretty good money it it. My sister went to beauty school for ten months. The first couple of years weren't the best working for other people but she started her own shop in her house and 2 years later her and her husband built a new house now worth close to 300k. Her husband only makes about 35k a year and I would say hers is almost double that with a lot of cash tips as well. Granted she is very good at what she does. Not all people are. So the money is there if you think that is what you want to do.www.lukeevens.com http://beachbodycoach.com/lguard8
 Prev 1 2 Next Page 2 of 2 Join the conversation You can post now and register later.
