freeflir29 0 #1 September 16, 2006 Atlanta Sports Medicine I'm shopping for a knee surgeon and I need the very best. I need to get OFF the injured reserve list and back in the "game" as fast as possible. Has anyone used these guys? Reading their web site they have some cool stuff like an on premise MRI. Plus.......the type of injury I have is a fairly common sports injury. Figure they might have some valuable expertise. Any suggestions from the peanut gallery? gravitational 0 #8 September 18, 2006 Check out the Steadman Hawkins clinic in Vail, CO. in your research. Sometimes the best isn't in your back yard. Excellent group of docs. I believe Dr. Tom Hacket does knees.------ Michael

There's a couple of surgeons that work at St. Vincent's hospital in Birmingham, AL who used to be at HealthSouth Sports Medicine. I can't remember their names, but they are arguably the best known, having treated thousands of professional athletes from the NFL, MLB, NBA and pro wrestling, among them Bo Jackson, Hulk Hogan, Batista, etc... You can't go wrong with them, if you can get on their schedule."Mediocre people don't like high achievers, and high achievers don't like mediocre people." - SIX TIME National Champion coach Nick Saban
