The smell of the sky: What's the cause?

I hadn't thought about that in a long time. But yup, I remember now.

I think it might also be a mix of nylon and ozone, because my gear will smell like it after snowboarding or hiking at high altitudes.

And yes I snuggle with my gear just to smell it.

That might be it. It does have a hint of "rain" in the smell. Maybe we are creating some sort of charge from the air-friction thingie.
