It was a Tables, Ladders and Chairs match, meaning all three could be used. The Championship belt was hanging 25 feet above the mat and you had to use the ladder to retrieve it and win. It was a particularly brutal match. The champion got thrown off the top of the ladder earlier because his bitch hit the challenger with a chair, knocking him back into the ladder, and the champion came down over a table on the outside of the ring! Every one of those wrestlers can beat the fuck out of you if they wanted to... Many of them have unbelievable strength and athletic ability, but they are trained to hit and slam you without causing injuries or bruises, and they can take a fall if they fall the right way, but they do get the breath knocked out of them when they hit hard. And even then, accidents happen and they tear up knees, dislocate shoulders, etc... It's amazing the lengths these guys will go to these days to entertain the sold-out arenas everywhere they go. I see more blood shed in one show today than I would see in a year's worth of wrestling back in the 1970's or 1980's... It's more hardcore now. Look at ECW, they have matches involving bags of thumbtacks strewn over the mat, barbed-wire-wrapped bats, flying metal folding chairs and kendo sticks. I wouldn't get in the ring with those "oiled up, steroid popping muscle men in spandex" and get battered...
