How much have you jumped this year in comparison to the pervious season?


I know I have not done nearly as much about 1/3 of last year mainly because of Weather, time, and money.

How about you.

I have jumped about the same.
It is pretty cool for me since our team was reduced to two people and I had to "work" for the rest of the jumps.

Who calls skydiving work?

Last year from 1/1/05 to 9/4/05 I made 171 jumps as a college student only coming out on weekends.

This year from 1/1/06 to 9/4/06 I made 176 jumps, living and working on a dz for most of that time.

I got a job as a packer at a full time dz thinking I'd get to jump a lot. Boy was I wrong. I probably could have made more jumps (and more money) working at McDonalds Monday through Friday and only jumping on weekends. Still, it was a good experience.

I've got about 110 also this year, down from the 200 I did last year, but there are still about 8 weeks left in the year and this weekend is looking like a 13-15 jump weekend.

4/17/05-12/31/05 I made 110 jumps

1/1/06-9/15/06 I've made 162 jumps and this last month has been really bad for weather

I did 235 jumps last year and this year I passed that up last month. Not sure of the exact number though. It's been a good year.

I have actually jumped more. In spite of living over seas and not being able to jump for 90 days at a time. I still have jumped more than my last job where I always had ONLY week days off.

I finished last year with around 350-400 for the year. I am around 450-500 now and will jump through the end of the year. So quite a bit more this year.

I do the same every year I don't mean to it just works out that way. 383 367 393 405 376..., and on and on I go to more boogies its more bad weather I just do the same over and over it's strange. I did 512 in 97 then hurt myself and only pulled 197 tin 98.

Last season I broke my pro-track so I didn't know how many jumps I made, herniated L5-S1 in a horrible sneezing accident, didn't jump any for months, and slowly eased back into things.

This season I relocated for work and slacked off for four months.

Last weekend, I was jumping at close to my normal rate with 4 jumps on Sunday, but they tell me that it gets cloudy here in the Pacific Northwest.

Last normal year I have records for was 2003 in which I made 168 skydives and 30 BASE jumps.

I've made 45 jumps this year, including the tandem i made 1/7/06.

I opted for your "I jumped more this year than last" option, considering I didn't jump at all in 05.

I've jumped more than last year already. The two broken wrists slowed me down a little. I'm still not jumping as much as I did the first few years though because now I have a mortgage to pay all by myself.

I've made it through the first 4 levels of AFF so far this year (5 jumps)... I hope to at least get my A-license by the end of the year... hopefully the weather will play nice.
