ExAFO 0 #1 September 19, 2006 ...To be completely into skydiving, but completely adversed(sp?) to BASE? I guess my thought process is one of why take away the already thin margin for error in skydiving? Or is it a lesser version of the Whuffo v. Jumper dynamic? Edited for my crappy spelling.Illinois needs a CCW Law. NOW.

skybytch 273 #4 September 19, 2006 To me, it's no different than being a skydiver and having no desire to swoop. Some people are willing to take more risks than others are.
fff3 0 #5 September 19, 2006 Personally I wouldn't mind tracking away from a 5000ft wall, but it would cost as much as a new velo to make that happen. So base jumping were I live means climbing a radio tower in the middle of the night to jump a rig that takes an hour to pack, for a jump that consists of no real hang time or canopy flight. Not for me, J

cocheese 0 #7 September 19, 2006 Being a base jump whuffo is ok. I'm still one after 8 attempts to understand some of it. And I might go to bridge day just to watch this year instead of jump. Is that odd?

Have you ever done any BASE jumping? I ask because I always has a 'tainted' opinion of those OTHER guys, until I made a few. I haven't done any in a decade, but I do kinda 'understand'. ~ If you choke a Smurf, what color does it turn? ~
