jshatzkin 0 #1 September 19, 2006 Does anyone here do Crossfit? My husband and I developed "The Factory" in our garage. Complete with rope, gymnast rings, medicine balls, olympic weights, pull up bars and rower. This is the best workout program ever. It will kick your ass regardless of how in shape you are. Check out www.crossfit.com. My husband also filmed and edited one of the cool workouts with some Army guys who worked for him at Ft. Bragg. Here is the video on youtube. TheAnvil 0 #2 September 19, 2006 Great workout. If you can do every WOD for two weeks straight then you may consider yourself a 'badass'. I always think I'm going to make it then one comes along that beats TheAnvil down...my pull-ups suck ass and need major work. jshatzkin 0 #3 September 19, 2006 That's the beauty of it! There is always something that will get you. The medicine ball cleans kick my ass. Not to mention how much I hate Burpees. I still can't do the full workout of the day. But you can easily tailor rounds/weight to fit your need. I did one workout from hell (for me): 20 wall balls (20lb medicine ball), row 500 meters, 20 box jumps (24" plyo box), 400 meter run. 5 rounds for time. I literally felt ill (not sore) for 2 days. Maybe had a case of Rhabdo It's amazing to see your performance and physique change with these workouts! Unlike anything I have ever done.Jen
TheAnvil 0 #4 September 19, 2006 I agree...my workouts have been crap the last two weeks...the last couple have started to pick back up though...I go thru cycles. Crossfit rocks da house for fitness. I tailor the WOD to my needs and really enjoy it. Vinny the Anvil Post Traumatic Didn't Make The Lakers Syndrome is REAL JACKASS POWER!!!!!!

AggieDave 6 #6 September 19, 2006 What was old is new again. All in all its a pretty "old school" workout with some "new school" thought. With that said, I've finally reached the point that I decided after 3 years of not lifting seriously I need to get back to lifting seriously. Today I'm trying to get back to the gym for a light workout. Going to spend the next month doing light workouts trying to get back into the swing of things and trying to get myself motivated to my old standard. Which was nearly 2hr workouts 4-5 days a week. Thats the kind of shape I need to be in again to be physically able to do what I really want to do.--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline."
