Hello out there, we're on the air. . . .

Ooooo--and you're in Edmonton, too! Is everyone up there completely charged for the new season?

YOU BETCHA! The City's buzzing again about the Copper and Blue. Season's tickets SOLD out months ago! You can get the odd single seat to a game but for the most part, there are only mini-packs available (multiple games).

And tonight, game on between the Oil and the Coyotes. Gonna be interesting to see what dear sweet Georges Laracque does coming back here to play against his former teammates!

WOO HOO!!!

HOCKEYHOCKEYHOCKEY!

And, btw, assuming you're an Oilers fan, congrats on the game last night!

Yep ... been a fan since they started up here with some young upstart named Wayne ...

I am soooo envious! It used to be that way here, but the Avs have fallen apart and now it's a lot easier to get tickets. (I guess that's the up-side. It's now easier to see all the teams I love.) Of course, the falling apart thing could have something to do with the fact that we let our first, second and third lines go to other teams. I think we're recruiting from the mini-mites now.

LOL--yeah, I guess rookies like that will do if you can't come up with someone good. ;)

Yeah ... 1979 ... first year in the NHL. Guess you take what you can get!

Oh, you and I are going to get along just fine. I have no problem with the Devils, really, but the Flyers. . . . And the Rangers used to have a lot of the old Pens players that I really loved. I don't know who is in their line-up this year, though.

Love for the game--it's a beautiful thing! *Sniff, sniff!*

I didn't get hockey at all until last year. My b/f took me to one preseason game and I was hooked.

Wish we could afford to go to more than a few games this year. Hell, hockey season almost makes me wish we had cable TV.

Sheesh that probably means they will have less fun stuff on CBC up here and more of this pucky stuff...

You know, I've tried to watch hockey on number of occasions - I live in the Chicago area and we have a legendary team that resides here with a cool name, logo, and team colors, but I've never been able to get into it. Even when everyone was talking about that Gretsky guy - 'The Shark' or 'White one', whatever he was...still couldn't care.

Then a few years ago I found out people started throwing seafood on the ice - squids or something (what was that all about???:S:S) - and I tried to watch again. I don't know, my genetic code is missing the codon for pucky stuff.

But, enjoy the season pucky people!:)

LOL--I know. It's okay if you don't connect. I don't get football, and I've tried. Watch the play. Watch the replay. Watch the replay with more commentary. Wait for the commercial. Watch the next play. Repeat (for what seems like 12 hours).

But hockey--it speaks to my heart.

I'd recommend watching and cheering for a BETTER team!
