Zep 0 #1 September 20, 2006 I'm going to take a longshot here. I heard a song driving home today that I really liked but the radio station did'nt give the name or artist (shits) It's a female singer with a strange voice, I stopped the car an jotted down the chorus so's not to forget it. Chorus " The phone is ringing The clock is ticking So let me out " Anyone know it. Gone fishing
AggieDave 6 #2 September 20, 2006 What genre of music? modern rock? I'm googling around trying to figure it out (sounds like a cool song).--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline."

Zep 0 #4 September 20, 2006 I thing it could be classed as modern rock, and it's probably a new release, The singer sounds as she's singing right at the top of her range, Sorry I can't help more. Gone fishing
The111 1 #5 September 20, 2006 My tried and true method. Google search for "phone is ringing" "clock is ticking" "let me out" "Let Me Out" by Dover Usually there are many more results, but apparently nobody liked this song enough to enter it on one of those lyric websites. I'm not crazy about the song myself, but I did find this video which is pretty painful to watch. www.WingsuitPhotos.com
AggieDave 6 #6 September 20, 2006 There you go, I had just refined my search string and came to that as well...you beat me to it. I was also surprised, usually lyric searches bring back LOT of results... Edit: Just watched the video...wow, I thought the 80s were over.--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline."
Zep 0 #7 September 20, 2006 Thanks you guys, that was quick. I watched the video, Hmm, I think I'll note it as driving music, Now I think of it I've heard other song from Dover but without the electronics, the girl has indeed a strange voice. 2fat2fly 0 #8 September 20, 2006 Could it be Dover's "Let Me Out"? Refer to the "So-You think you know planes threadI am not the man. But the man knows my name...and he's worried

Zep 0 #10 September 20, 2006 >wow, I thought the 80s were over.< The 80's will never be over music wise, most of my best memories are bases in the 80's early 90's I may not remember dates but when I hear a song from that era I know exactly where I was an enjoy the memories. Side note. From years of seeing your posts, I see your a man of wide tastes in music, look up a guy (dead now) called, Blind gary Davis, a blues singer, over the years late at night that guy has brought me so much pleasure.
