ChileRelleno 0 #1 September 23, 2006 I spend alot of time on the road and un-secure hotspots are a necessary evil for me... Unless I want to pay $$$$ Does anyone have any knowledge/experience with WiFi security providers/software? Services providing e-mail encryption, VPN level wireless security between your computer and a un-secured server and such. Do they work as claimed? Any input/suggestions related to this would be great. Two service/software providers I've been looking at are, JiWire http://www.jiwire.com/hotspot-helper.htm And Anonymizer http://www.anonymizer.com/ Anonymous Surfing, Anonymous Safe Surfing Suite (bundled package) and/or Total Net Shield ChileRelleno-Rodriguez Bro#414 Hellfish#511,MuffBro#3532,AnvilBro#9, D24868
Armour666 0 #2 September 23, 2006 your best bet if you have ability to is VPN to a secure network and work over the unrotected hotspots I do this when ever I travel , I run personal fierwall , and in the coprate enviro we run Odessy client and Radius athrunecation and encryption. if you run your own e-mail server you can have it encrypt all email that goes out with a certificate that only your system would be able to decrypt. thats a basic certificate and domain certificate witch you can get at verisignSO this one time at band camp.....
