MrBrant 0 #1 September 25, 2006 Hey Everybody, I'm heading down to the Atlanta area at the end of the week. I'm hoping to get a few jumps in. The dropzone locator doesn't seem to be working at the moment, so I'm hoping somebody from down there can help me out. I'll be leaving this Friday (so I can spend the weekend jumping). I'll probably go check out "the farm" just because of everything I keep hearing about it. (geez, sometime I think half of DZ.com is from that place Anybody want to do some jumps???) After the weekend, I'll be up in Suwanee, GA. (http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&hl=en&q=2975+Shawnee+Ridge+CT,+Suwanee,+GA+30024&ie=UTF8&z=9&ll=34.016242,-84.070129&spn=1.286238,3.010254&om=1&iwloc=A). Anybody know of any dropzones close to there, that would be open weeknights? (I head back up to Winnipeg that Thursday) Thanks! see ya's soon.
Thanatos340 1 #2 September 25, 2006 There are really only 3 DZ`s left around Atlanta. The Farm - It seems you have already heard enough about that. Great Place, Check it out if you have time. Fun dropzone. SDA (Thomaston) - Great DZ, Known for having a really good Freefly scene but since the Monroe DZ folded up and many of their Jumpers went to SDA. It is easier to find belly jumpers there as well. And then there is ASC. Great people that jump there but owned by the same guys that own Skyride. Honestly, Any one you choose you will have a good time. (But I am partial to the Farm myself)
goofyjumper 0 #3 September 25, 2006 You would enjoy any of them but the Farm is a super great atmospher.----------------- I love and Miss you so much Honey! Orfun #3 ~ Darla
chaoskitty 0 #4 September 25, 2006 The Farm is fun, and so is Skydive Atlanta. The farm has swoop ponds, and its a pretty place to camp. SDA has a super fast super king air and you can camp or crash in the hanger. You'll enjoy either drop zone. Both have showers and facilities. There arent any dz's close to Suwanee. The only dz open during the week is ASC, a solid 2 hours from Suwanee.
tmaricle55 0 #5 September 25, 2006 GA is a pretty friendly place (both Dropzones Farm and Thomaston)... I can speak for the Farm, you'll always find someone (which turns into a big way of some sort) who would be more than happy to Jump with you! Muff Brother # 3883, SCR # 14796 ICD # 1 - Pres. Yeah, I noticed and I think it's funny!

And you can find a game of Texas Hold 'Em poker Saturday nights, if they're not busy getting drunk. popsjumper 2 #12 September 25, 2006 Visit both The Farm AND SDA while you're here. You'll have fun at both. You definitely won't be jumping alone at the Farm unless you really want to.My reality and yours are quite different. I think we're all Bozos on this bus.
