happythoughts 0 #1 September 26, 2006 I'm watching the public ed channel. They are doing a show on architecture and culture in Europe. Lots of panoramic shots from airplanes flying over. Castles, old seaside resorts on the Med. What are they playing for background music? When they were touring France, at first it sounded like generally sucky accordion music. Then, it hit me... They were playing Debbie Gibsons "You Light Up My Life" on an accordion. Yeah... that's culture... "Ze heel-top in Ferr-onz..." Now, it's "Somewhere... beyond the blue..."
