Do you like your name?

Recommended Posts

I have 1 first name and 2 middle names. Even though they are all fairly common, I'm not named after any of my relatives. Now, my last name...that's a different story. It is very uncommon and I always hated it growing up. Now, I could care less.

Ummmm I was actually named after her..... My grandma loved Elvis and apperently Lisamarie was all that would work since I was in fact female :|

Oh hell!!! Open mouth, insert foot...:$:$:$:$

Sorry, sorry. Just drove me nuts that people would assume even though her name wasn't even 'the' name that that's where we got it. :S

She has my sister's first name but I liked 'Marie' better for a middle name than my sister's 'Alfa'.

I love your name!! B|

Thank you Jaye! But it's OK you don't have to be polite. It's a dorky name. :P:S:| My parents made it up when I was a week old. Turns out there is a city in California with the same name! Ha! I just learned that recently. I guess I don't get to California often enough.

I used to not like it. Sometimes, like today (first day on a new project) and I hear all kinds of variations of it (Kristine? Mary Anne? Kris?) I get annoyed, but mostly I think it's cool. I always have to correct people (no, I don't go by Kris, not that I have any problems with that name, it's just not mine), and it almost never gets spelled right.

But it's unique and it's mine, so I got that going for me.

I've had to re-think "popsjumper". Everybody calls me Pops and that implies that I'm old which is NOT the case. You're only as old as you act and I go overboard trying to act like a stupid-fuck youngster.

My reality and yours are quite different.
I think we're all Bozos on this bus.

People for some reason keep dropping the "N" out of my first name . . .;)

I thought they were dropping the "L" and changing the "I" to "U"...

I'm not usually into the whole 3-way thing, but you got me a little excited with that. - Skymama

Well he called me a cunt the last time I played in the Skydive Radio poker tourney, just because I kicked Hans' ass on the river... :D
