PLFXpert 0 #1 September 27, 2006 A Vacuum Story.I vacuum the tile throughout the house every day b/c I have three, very loved, very furry kids and mama has allergies. Cruzer (the dog) hears me open the closet door for the vacuum and bolts to his "safe place"; afraid of the loud beast. Sabre (one of the kitties) stays sprawled out in the middle of the floor licking his paws and wiping his ears. As I near closer to him he stops licking his paws, lays his head down and closes his eyes. The loud vaccum beast comes w/in inches of terrorizing the furry body but alas, Sabre is not afraid. He doesn't budge; just lays there as I vacuum all around him. I mean, seriously. Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.

PLFXpert 0 #3 September 27, 2006 The third one, Zoe', whom we refer to as "The Savvy One", lays just across the threshold where the tile meets the carpet of the bedroom; watching as the vacuum moves back and forth. She could bolt to safety at any moment; and she is ready to do so. But the loud vacuum beast never quite comes close enough for her to abandon position.Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back. Thanatos340 1 #6 September 27, 2006 Muriel???? Muriel is a female name. Its usage is popular in English, Irish and French (where it is often spelled "Murielle"). It is the Anglicized form of MUIRGHEA, which is Irish and means "bright (or shining) sea"; derived from Gaelic muir - "sea", and geal - "bright". In Latin, 'Muriel' means "angel of June". In Arabic, 'Muriel' means "myrrh". In Hebrew, 'Muriel' means "fragrance of God". Muriel is also the name of a white goat in George Orwell's famous novel Animal Farm. She is most know for being the animal who read the Seven Commandments of Animalism to the less-intelligent animals when the commandments were changed to benefit the pig overlords of Animal Farm. I think I like the second definition best.

PLFXpert 0 #8 September 27, 2006 For the mensa members (OK, like I totally would have qualified.) my Muriel reference was to the movie; which by the way had nothing at all to do w/ anything intellectual whatsoever. My kinda movie. Lots-o-Abba songs. My favorite! (teasing you, of course)Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.
