And Mac OSX 10.3.9 I'm trying to launch Classic OS 9 to do some work on a database, but every time I launch it, it starts to launch and then just gets locked up. It never fully opens. What has happened since the last time you were able to run Classic? OS updates, etc, etc? Does your Mac permit you to boot directly into OS 9 or do you have to run in Classic mode under OS X? If it does, can you boot into OS 9? I have had a couple of programs that I had to boot into OS 9 before trying to run as they wouldn't run under Classic. Have you checked the knowledge base at Apple's website? Edited to add: Here's a Knowledge Base article that may be a starting point for you. murrays 0 #11 September 27, 2006 QuoteThank you so much! I fixed it! Excellent! What did you have to do to get things working again? (The reason I'm curious is that my Mac at home started doing the same thing after I had my dealer install a new larger hard drive and I haven't had time to check into it. I never use Classic or 9 but my kids use it for some of their games....so they've been on the Playstation for about a month now.)-- Murray "No tyranny is so irksome as petty tyranny: the officious demands of policemen, government clerks, and electromechanical gadgets." - Edward Abbey
