I was going to brag about the 10 lbs of amazingly delicious peaches I bought on Sunday near the DZ. Guess not. "There is only one basic human right, the right to do as you damn well please. RkyMtnHigh 0 #12 September 13, 2006 I didn't realize that location was an easy driving distance to neighboring states/other dz's as well until some other jumpers told me the drive time. Cool! Not like South Florida or Colorado where it takes me a day to get to the next state over. _________________________________________
NWFlyer 2 #13 September 13, 2006 QuotePlease do share about dem peaches.... I looooove peaches...more than a bouquet of fresh flowers.. They are SOOOO good. The guy at the roadside stand sold 'em in two size boxes - small (about 8 lbs) and large (about 20 lbs). No way could I take 20 lbs so I took a small box ... and he proceeds to throw in another five or six peaches that were a tiny bit bruised ... so I ended up with over 10 lbs of peaches for $10. Anyone have any good peach recipes? I'm concerned I won't get through 'em all before they go bad."There is only one basic human right, the right to do as you damn well please. How many Dunwoody Housewives does it take to change a Lightbulb?? Two. One to hold the tennis raquets while the other calls the electrician. (Does that kinda give you an idea of what that part of town is Like?)

Thanatos340 1 #20 September 13, 2006 Quotesounds like I could have a part time side job for extra jump $$$ by putting up Christmas lights You say that jokingly but the girl I live with makes about $120 an Hour doing just that!! No Im not joking. She is a design consultant for a Christmas Lighting manufacturer. She doesnt even put up the lights, Just does the designs for the Dunwoody Housewives. It is amazing what those people will spend on decorating thier Mansions for Christmas. Oh.. And I almost forgot.. We have the Pink Pony Too.

South Carolina produces more and much better peaches. And...if you go to Atlanta, they make you eat dinner under a waterfall We'll see who picks up that referenceI am not the man. headoverheels 334 #24 September 13, 2006 QuoteAnyone have any good peach recipes? I'm concerned I won't get through 'em all before they go bad. When I had a tree, I would make peach butter. Like apple butter, canned in mason jars. Yum. Here's my cuppa cuppa cupp cobbler recipe: 1 cuppa milk 1 cuppa self-rising flour 1 cuppa sugar 3/4 stick butter roughly 1 qt fruit Melt butter in the dish in which you will cook it. I use a Corningware(tm) dish. Add the fruit, stir it around. Stir milk, flour, sugar together with a fork, pour over fruit, stir it around. Bake it until done -- can't really remember, but 375F should be okay, start checking it after 30 minutes. Have a glass of wine, check it again. A little cinnamon wouldn't hurt, either.
